Last Sunday we decided to celebrate Christophers birthday onboard Gisella. We woke up early on Sunday morning and prepared a nice ceaser salad and baked a typical Swedish chocolate cake to bring to the boat for lunch. The day couldn't have been any better. Great wind, sunshine, food, beer, pimm's, lots of laughter and a cracking sunset.

if the wind is right you can sail away.
If you ever decide to visit northern Italy, you have to visit Lake Maggiore. The place is absolutely stunning! These pictures are from Saturday. We took Gisella (Fabrizios boat) out for a ride on the lake. In the evening we stopped by Cerro di Laveno a little village just by the lake, lucky enough the locals had a small festival going on that evening and the smell of fried fish was just too hard to resist so we joined them for dinner. Delicious fish and chips that we ate in the marina.

Italian living.
This is where my sister and Fabrizio live. Colourful buildings go extremely well with the luscious green planting that just takes over the balcony. I wish things would grow like this back in the UK.

baia del silenzio.
Oh my, never thought I would have said this a week ago... but it's just too damn hot here!! Toooo hot. I'm sweating, complaining, buying ice cold drinks every 10 minutes.. ..I spend my days laying in the shade under the beach umbrella trying to stay alive. I used to love temperatures over 30 degrees, but now....no.. i can't take this..i'm melting.

An Italian Midsummer.
Spent my first day here in Italy by Lake Maggiore. What a place! We swim, we eat and sunbathe. That's it. No stress just enjoying life at it's best.

Aaahhh what a day! I need to pack. I hate packing. I usually feel stress, irritation and anxiety when I pack. I always have those feelings and have always had. Those feelings usually disappears around the time I've gone through check-in, security and bought myself a coffee and found a good spot to sit at the airport. Then I can feel it. Happiness and excitement.

tea and milk break
So far I've had a very nice and relaxed Tuesday. Met up for some tea and cake with friends at the Holburne museum, the weather was....well you can see for yourself, i'm wearing a knitted cardigan!! In June!! Hello summer... are you there!? Anyway who cares about the weather when you're with lovely friends.
when I'm home alone.
Day off. So lovely. Made myself an omelette for lunch. That's usually what I make when I'm eating alone. I spice it up with everything I can find, Peppers, red onions, some feta cheese and some fresh herbs. No too bad. Now, got to get ready, meeting up with a friend and her boy in an hour. See you later!

beauty stuff
I bought this today after a friend recommended it to me. Dove summer glow, a moisturiser with a subtle self tan that gradually gives you abit of colour. I really need this. I'm going on holiday on thursday and my legs are pale. Really pale. And I don't feel like messing around with fake tan, so I thought I would try this. Feeling abit torn about buying the one for normal to dark skin.....i'm more like super pale to pale.... whatever. I'll give it a try!
