ahhhh, I love this song. I need to watch dirty dancing soon. For the fiftieth time. Why is that movie so good? is it Swayze? is it the dancing? the cheesy lines? I remember watching it again and again as a teenager and dreaming of going to a resort just like the one in the movie and staying there all summer long, learning how to dance, fall in love with a teacher similar to Mr Swayze.....

a restless soul

I get really restless. Quite often in the evenings and I just need to get out. I'm not talking out drinking and partying. Just outside. I don't care where I walk, if it's just around the block. Just to do something. I summertime I become this person who is up for doing anything. I wanna do things all the time, everyday. Like if I had a clock built in me saying that the summer is short and I need to take advantage of every single day that it's got. In the winter time I become a bear. A bear that sleeps for about 6 months. I never want to go out. Maybe once a month. Now I'm talking socialising. There is something magic about summer time, something adventurous. The best memories are born in the summer.

days like this..

we just sit in our courtyard, listening to some music, talking about how amazing this weather is and wondering how long it will last. Then the conversation goes quiet and we just sit there both wandering off into our own little worlds until Chris asks, what we are gonna have for dinner, I say healthy. I want something healthy! I go on about that I need to start exercising again and thinking quietly that my boyfriend doesn't really wanna hear my exercise crap and my broken promises about exercising 3 times a week.. I think he has heard...'tomorrow is the first day of my new fit life' too many times now....

A friday night steak

We started celebrating Christophers birthday last night at Hudson steak house. Amazing steaks and nice company!

midsummer lunch

Midsummer lunch in the park. Julias homemade broccoli and blue cheese pie. Gravad lax with mustard sauce. And strawberry and cream. It's so hot today. The temperature is saying 25 degrees. I like it. The park was too hot though. Unbearable to sit there in the sun so we all went home to cool off. Tonight we are going out!! we are celebrating Chris birthday, it's not until tomorrow, but it's Julias last night in England so tonight we are gonna go all out!

Midsummer!

Goodmorning! Today we celebrate Swedish midsummer! One of my favourite traditions of the year. We were out last night and everyone wanted to know how we celebrate that day, so I'm glad I found this clip from last years party. Love this day!

sunny tuesday afternoon

Another beautiful day. Spent it with my sister Julia. We have been out in the sun, drinking a little, chatting, catching up on whats been going on in our lives since November last year. Now off to waitrose before closing to get some bits for dinner. Julia is upstairs resting. She is a bit upset. A bird shat on her today while she was shopping on the high street. A really massive bird shit on her shoulder. Her new dress and all.... But it means good luck right. At least that's what I tell her.

is coming tonight! Going to Gatwick to pick her up in about an hour. Can't wait. This picture of Julia, i thought she looked so sweet. You can see a little bit of me in the corner of the photo but I cut myself out, because beside this brown eyed beauty I looked like a sack of potatoes. Sort of.

what a beautiful sunny day. Today I have eaten homemade lemon drizzle cake, had a lovely visit from Grazzie, planted some basil, eaten a bowl of english strawberries, enjoyed the sun, been talking future and ideas outside on our courtyard, had a glass of white wine, watched some football. And now a shower and a movie. Bring on a new week. I'm ready with new energy.

Princess Wedding

Today is a big day in Swedish history. The Swedish Crown Princess is getting married. It's been talked about for months in Sweden and I bet you all swedish people back home are already sick and tired hearing about it day in and day out. I have been following it a bit from here. Reading the online papers and checking out the royal guest list and princess dresses. They look like a cute couple, Victoria and Daniel. I hope they live happily ever after.

friday night barbeque

Thanks to the Pinto family for a great barbeque last night. I haven't seen that much food in years. And it was really good too. Really good. I wasn't too impressed with the England game though. I thought England was a quite good team with good players? No? Am I wrong? And awwww the cute little newly hatched chicken they have got was so cute and little. Oh... just noticed that picture of me holding the little chicken.... My hands! what's up with them? they look enormous. Huge. Like they belong to a man. A giant. hahaha

starting fresh

Healthy start of the day. Oatmeal porridge, raspberry jam, blueberries and milk. And green tea. Tonight I'm gonna watch England vs Algeria game at a English/Italian home. Looking forward to that. They said that they have put up England flags everywhere. They have even got them on the car. I think I'm a bit scared.

At the newly opened place Hall & Woodhouse The place looked great. And the roof terrace made it even better. I can see it getting very busy up there on those hot summer night that I'm hoping we will have lots of. Looking forward to trying their menu soon.
