Rosie's Coffee and Wine.

I discovered a real gem when I was back in Malmo.
Rosie's Coffee and Wine.
A small, independent cafe full of character. And amazing homemade cakes.
So to all Malmo locals, visitors and cafe lovers, you got to check this place out.

there you go.

'There are things in life we don’t want to happen, but have to accept; things we don’t want to know, but have to learn, and people we can’t live without, but have to let go.'

find your happy.

Just wanted to recommend a book I'm reading at the moment.
'Find your happy' by Shannon Kaiser.
For all of you in search of more peace, happiness and fulfilment in your lives, this is a must read.

the sea.

Took a walk down to Kallbadhuset. That´s the place where the crazy Swedes go skinny dipping in the freezing sea. I was planning to go for a swim ....but yeah..well I just couldn´t do it.

bright morning.

Had breakfast this morning in Djakne KaffeBar and totally fell in love with the place.
Great ambiance for creating new projects.
And also, another wall to be added to my collection, picture no 2 from the top.
What a beauty.

The Library.

My sister's internet at her place is crap so I decided to go to the city library to use their free WiFi.. And i´m really glad I did becasue it´s truly awesome. And massive. I mean just the section where you can borrow records is bigger than a lot of record stores I know. Think this might be my new favourite hang out.

yep it´s cold.

It´s freaking cold here. Below zero temperatures and cold winds from north is making it impossible to even look slightly stylish. To be honest, after three days of icy weather, i don´t care what I look like anymore.
As long as what i´m wearing is keeping me warm, i´m happy.

Malmö Town.

Yesterday.
Lilla kafferosteriet is still one of my favourite cafe's in Malmö. You can spend hours in there drinking serious amounts of great coffee (they roast their own coffee beans) and munch on amazing cakes. The place is so old and it's got so much character you just have to love it. I do miss the Swedish cafe culture. It's definitely different and unique.
I guess it doesn't really come as a surprise that statistics show that Scandinavians are the biggest coffee consumers in the world.
Also yesterday, a trip to the Moderna Museet was a must. Contemporary art at it's best.

silence.

I know I've discussed this topic in a previous post last year, but it still really amazes me how quiet everything is when I go back to Sweden. The silence, the empty spaces and the feeling of being completely on your own in a normally crowded public space. And i'm not even travelling stupid hours. It's amazing.

retail honesty.

Went to check out the latest in a vintage store around the corner today.
There was a handwritten note on the door saying;
"Hi, i´m tired today, if I'm not back tomorrow, it's probably gonna be sometime next week"
Very un-Swedish but loving the attitude.

sweden´s finest.

I´m back home and enjoying every minute of it. Hours spent in cafe´s catching up and consuming a fair share of Swedish classics; Cinnamon buns and Creamy Lenten buns.
It´s good to be back.

a private kind of happiness.

Sunday evening and it's time for some Cornish fudge. Hope you've all had a nice, chill, creative weekend. Let's make this week a really good one!

Happy Sunday

What a weekend it's been so far. Moving is mega stressful to say it least. But i'm so happy it's all done now and even more happier I've got such beautiful friends that truly helped me out. Going to Sweden tomorrow is gonna be the perfect time for a break. Can't wait!
Happy Sunday!

Bill's.

Bill's
A new place to eat in Bath. Yay.
Enjoyed a bruschetta with tomatoes, basil, goat cheese and crispy onion rings as a starter.
Main course; Moules Frites.
Very nice indeed. Great staff, great atmosphere. I will definitely be back for more very soon.
Check it out!

aperitif.

Had an Aperol Spritz in Carluccio's bar the other night. This Italian aperitif brings back good Italian memories. CinCin!

goodbye darlington street.

So. I'm moving flat and I've got two nights left in my current home. Feels weird. An end of an era, but looking forward to a change, a new place and fun times ahead.
So with this post i'm saying Au revoir Darlington Street. Maybe we'll meet again.
And you guys probably know by now how much I love having fresh flowers at home, so much that I felt the need of putting together a collection of a few of my favourite flower moments of my ten months here.
xx
