Little sister.
My sister is here and i'm loving every minute!
We've already done so much fun. Simple things. We eat, drink, take long walks, shop, laugh, eat some more food and hang out with friends.
I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend! .... (the pics in this post are from The cosy club in Bath. Nice place!)

sunny seaside.

Yesterday we spent an amazing afternoon by the seaside. Felt like summer is back on again. We always visit the same beach in Mwnt. A little hidden gem.

weekend away.
Arrived last night in Pembrokeshire, Wales. We are staying with my boyfriend's family for the weekend. Some sun, nature and relaxation.

Pics from old days.
Going through old photos from boxes I haven't seen in years. I'm gonna be good and start framing old pictures that I've taken over the years. And then I found these. From old backpacking days. Beautiful memories from amazing places. They almost look like postcards! The picture with the jetty is taken in Caye Caulker, Belize. The other one in Tulum Mexico.

Marimekko.
Found this picture on my laptop. Me on the livingroom sofa. You might have noticed that I like Marimekko. I've always liked Marimekko's design. Maybe because I grew up with it. Fabrics, cushions, cups, cutlery and bathrobes, my childhood home was invaded with Finnish things. Or maybe I just like it because my mum is Finnish, and in our family we love everything and everyone that comes from Finland. Think it's a combination of both.

just like a ballerina.
When I was in Sweden last week I found a box at home with my old ballet shoes. I danced ballet from the age of 3 to 15 i think it was. I don't know why my mum didn't throw them away? they're all pretty dirty and worn out. But now I'm quite glad she didn't. I think i'm gonna do something with them. Make them into art in some form. Even though they're not as nice as my latest pair, the only ones I've kept from that time (these)... I love them all. The tiny ones from when I was the shy little three year old that loved her pink tutu skirt more than the dancing to the more dirtier pairs when I was the angry teenager but a passionate dancer.

one day...
I will get a place like this. A run down little house to fix up, just the way I like it, a place that is completely me. Creating a inspiring, creative little den, with only the bare essentials. A place to relax, read books all day, paint and listen to all sorts of music as loud as I like all night until the early morning. Take morning, afternoon and evening dips in the lake. And maybe build a little sauna by the jetty. And maybe get a little rowing boat and learn how to fish properly. Watch the sunset over the lake with a glass of wine in the evening. Grow some vegetables and wild strawberries. Invite all the people that I love.
Yes, that's what i'm gonna do.

lazy Sunday
eighth grade.
Found an old class photo from eighth grade I think it was. I was 13 or 14. Can you see me? too cool for school right..
Nice that we all were wearing that shiny pale lipstick. We all thought we looked pretty hot. I also remember the white leggings I was wearing in that photo, they were white and see through. Thought it looked quite nice when you could see my thongs showing..nice.

listen.
this song I can't get out of my head... it played about every twenty minutes on the Swedish radio. Veronica Maggio, another great Swedish talent. In fact she is pretty brilliant.

Stella!

Last Saturday in Sweden. I attended a great name party, or naming ceremony (a non religious baptism you know) for Stella. A beautiful day with lots of lovely people, sunshine, kids running around in the garden, lots of laughter, amazing homebaked cakes and a speech/presentation from Stella's mum and dad explaining why they chose the name Stella.
A perfect day and a perfect way to celebrate the lovely little girl.
