Dalarna, Sweden.

Hello my lovely readers. Sorry for bad blogging lately. Just been busy with enjoying life. I'm in Dalarna, a very beautiful but cold place. Our days consist of long walks, eating well and just..hanging out together. I've taken lots of pictures but when you go outside you got to be quick..after about 20 min in -20 degrees the camera stops working because of the cold, not nice. Tomorrow I'm off to next destination. Italy.

Merry Christmas to all my loved ones in Sweden and to all you people that celebrate Christmas today. I'm jealous. It's not the same celebrating on Christmas day.
Anyway what I wanted to show you is my amazing christmas presents from my very generous bosses. A gorgeus Anya Hindmarch purse and the lovely grey wool scarf from Designers Remix that I've had my eyes on for ages. I'm totally in love with them both. Thank you.

Turkey instead of Swedish meatballs

hello my lovelys. All set for Christmas? or still rushing around trying to find the last christmas pressies?
At the moment I'm just chillin in my kitchen with a cup of cinnamon tea, watching the people rushing around outside. I took a look at myself in photobooth and realized how pale I am. Like a white ghost that hasn't seen the sun for years, and too be honest feel abit like one aswell. Still abit dissapointed that I'm not going to Sweden for Christmas, but was lucky enough to get on a plane on the 26th instead. Anyway, it doesn't matter. It will be a Welsh Christmas instead. With pigs in blankets and turkey and the rest. And that I'm looking forward too.

Dear landlord.

This was delivered to us yesterday. A basket full of Christmas goodies. It was from our landlord to say Merry Christmas. He is a very nice man.

Little Black Dress

When I run out of clean clothes I sometimes wear large t-shirts as dresses with black tights. Like today. On a freezing day like this I just keep my hat on all day. The heating is on full blast inside but for some reason my flat is like an igloo.

Let it Snow

Took a few pictures from my morning walk. It's really cold out there, my toes were icecold even in my ugly old Uggs. When I came home I made myself some hard bread sandwiches with egg and rocket. A favourite at the moment.

Good morning Saturday!

What a beautiful day, snow everywhere! Heard on the radio that Heathrow is a mess with delayed flights and cancellations. And BA has cancelled all their flights today. As much as I love the snow, it better disappear by Wednesday when it's my turn to fly.

I got some good stuff from Secret Santa on Saturday night. A lovely red Revlon lipstick, a nice tomato red nail varnish and a facemask. Perfect!!! And for all you people who doesn't know what a Secret Santa is check THIS out. I had never heard of it before moving to England.

the sky is grey

Took a walk early this morning. Felt like I needed a little bit of fresh air and to clear my head. Took a few pictures, although I feel like everything outside looks so grey. Really dull and grey. Seriously after christmas and new year I want spring! Trees going lime green, flower buds, birds singing. But right now, nature looks wet, grey and depressing.

Kate Bosworth got a lot of shit for wearing this dress at the Hollywood Style Awards. The Daily mail writes THIS. The thing is I really like it. And it's refreshing to see something different than the "normal" glam red carpet dress. This stands out more. Cool and relaxed. Anyway, Kate always looks great in anything she wears.

LUCIA

Today in Sweden we celebrate Lucia. I miss all these traditions, and Lucia is one of my absolute favourites. On Lucia we bake Lussekatter (Saffron buns) and drink mulled wine. And then we celebrate Saint Lucia with songs and performances. Lovely things. The picture above is old, didn't have time to make Lussekatter this year, and also it's impossible to find fresh yeast in this country, so I gave up on that idea. Anyway they're bloody delicious.

I want my bacon.

Started my Sunday with making a big bacon and egg brunch. A much needed one. A bit tired after yesterdays festivities. Last night was so much fun. The great company, the food, the dancing, it couldn't have been any better. I'll put up a few pictures from last night later....just gonna erase about fifty of them.

Ok, I'm gonna give you all a great white wine budget tips. Eva's Vineyard. Hungarian. £3.99 in Waitrose.
Ok, so I'm not a wine expert but whatever, it tastes great, it really does, and it's cheap. Sometimes don't judge something by it's cover. I'm sure Sweden has got this one in their liquor and wine stores aswell. But do not worry. The bottle won't be opened until later. A warm up to tonight's Xmas party.

I'm off to bed and I'm taking Carey with me. She is the cutest. My Wednesday has been great, and interesting. Talking to inspiring people makes me want more out of life. Which is very good at the moment. My life.
